Basically an RS-2 roadswitcher, the late-1940s RSC-2's six-wheel trucks spread the unit's weight out over a greater length of rail, making them easy on track built to handle the teakettle steamers they replaced. Their distinctive trucks and the scenic routes they typically plied have made them popular with fans and modelers. These new models feature a five-pole, skew-wound motor and dual flywheels, 12-wheel drive and electrical pickup, directional headlights and knuckle couplers, so they'll perform as good as they look.
