Question - How do I redeem my Loyalty Points?
Answer - To redeem your points, ensure you are logged in to your account and initiate checkout. Enter your address information and continue to the next step of the checkout process. If you have any points available for redemption, you will see a button toward the top of the screen right above your shipping options. Simply press this button to redeem your points. You will see an updated order subtotal reflecting this. The process on a mobile device will be similar although the button may be in a slightly different location on the screen. If this button does not appear, you may not be logged in or you may not have any points approved for redemption. Point activity and balance information can be found on your Account page after logging in.

Question - Does Train Sets Only ship internationally?

- Yes, we ship quite a bit internationally. We ship all over the world. For orders outside the US and Canada, we ship through a well known and reputable 3rd party provider. For further information regarding international orders, click here.

Question - How quickly will my order be processed?
Answer - All of our inventory is listed with an Inventory Status indicating how quickly it typically ships. The item with the longest wait time typically determines when your order will ship out from our warehouse.

Question - Are the products you sell lead-free?
Answer - Train Sets Only only sells products from reputable manufacturers and takes product safety very seriously. In light of the recent lead-paint scare, we have requested statements from all of our manufacturers regarding product safety. Question - The item I want is listed as On-Order or has an expected availability date listed. Can I still order the item?
Answer - Yes, you can still order these items. These items will then ship when they become available. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is prepared for shipment and you can cancel your order at any time.

Question - How will my order be shipped?
Answer - At checkout, you will be provided with a number of shipping options. There are also some circumstances when your order will be directly shipped from one of our suppliers and the ship method from them will be Ground (usually FedEx or UPS).

Question - How is shipping calculated?
Answer - During the checkout process, and before you enter any credit card information, you will be provided with your shipping options and the associated costs. Shipping, with some exceptions, is based upon weight and distance. Shipping rates are based upon real-time interaction with the carrier's systems. And, remember, orders over $300 receive free ground shipping within the continental US (PO Boxes excluded). Question - Can I see how much shipping will cost without starting the checkout process?
Answer - Yes, U.S. and Canadian customers can use our built-in shipping calculator. Simply add the appropriate items to your cart and click on the Shopping Cart link. Right below the list of items in your cart, there is a link labeled "Calculate Shipping". When you click on this, you will be asked for your ZIP Code, State, and Country. After entering that data, you will be given a list of shipping options and costs.

Question - What if I cannot find what I'm looking for?
Answer - Simply email us with your inquiry at [email protected]. If you know the Walther's part number, you can order it directly from us from this page - Walther's Catalog Item Order. Normally, our price will be significantly discounted from the list price. If Walther's has the item on sale, we will honor their sales price if it's lower than our normal discounted price. Additionally, we are an Athearn dealer and can obtain any of their available products as well.

Question - What are track 'codes'?
Answer - Track is made in different codes (80, 83, 100). These numbers represent the height of the rail in 1/1000th of an inch. In HO Scale, code 83 is often considered more prototypical than code 100.

Question - What is the difference between #4, #6, and #8 switches (aka turnouts)?
Answer - The number represents the distance from the point to the frog. Therefore, the higher the number, the more gradual the turnout will be. Typically, you should use the largest switches you can fit on your layout. Unfortunately, we are often forced to use smaller ones due to space constraints.
